(July 23, 2015) As the 2015 indoor club season is officially behind us, I hope that everyone had a great experience in your season ending events. It was great seeing so many JVA-member clubs during my 2-week stay at the AAU National Championships in Orlando. This is the largest junior volleyball event in the country, and with that, this past year JVA-member clubs counted for over 60% of the more than 2,200 teams that participated. In our long range planning, the JVA Board of Directors approved a plan to research, create, and run one new JVA-hosted event each year over the next three years. This is a large part of the reason I was brought on as your JVA Tournament Director this past December. I am very excited to announce that JVA will be hosting, not one, but three new events this coming 2016 season. These newly created events will be in addition to our established mid-year championship, the JVA World Challenge, bringing our total number of events to four for the 2016 season; they are as follows:

Date: January 16-17th (Tournament Title – TBD)City: Cleveland, Ohio
Courts: 42
Divisions: 10U-18U
Date: March 12-13th (Tournament Title: JVA Fest in the West)
City: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Courts: 20
Divisions: 10U-18U

Date: April 22-24th (JVA World Challenge)
City: Kansas City, Missouri
Courts: 68
Divisions: 10U-18U

Date: June 4-5th (Tournament Title – TBD)
City: Columbus, Ohio
Courts: 46
Divisions: 10U-18U

After many requests from our member clubs, we are excited to host events and bring the JVA to more undeveloped JVA-areas of the country such as theOhio and Pennsylvania, as well as expanding to the west, where our membership has grown exponentially. We are also excited to work with multiple clubs to get our Ohio-events off the ground. The following clubs have made 3-year commitments to one or both of our Ohio-events, giving us a great core competition to build off of: AVC-Cleveland, KIVA, Mintonette Sports, NKYVC, K2, Munciana, and Milwaukee Sting.

JVA is combining our Fest in the West with the Fiesta Fest and The Festival to provide 3 quality events in the Southwest.
