The JVA is excited to bring another high quality event to the Midwest next season. The JVA Kansas City Classic will be held at the Kansas City Convention Center in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri April 28-29, 2018. With the continued growth of the JVA and demand for high quality, well run events in the Upper Midwest, there is a lot of excitement about the JVA Kansas City Classic.

We are excited to be returning to Kansas City next year after the huge success of the 2016 JVA World Challenge. KC is a great city to host a tournament with so much to offer our teams and families. It is a win win for everyone” shares JVA Executive Director Jenny Hahn.

The two day event is projected to bring in 300-400 teams from the Midwest, Great Plains and Mid-South. The Kansas City Convention Center is in downtown Kansas City, conveniently near several hotels, restaurants, local attractions and only 20 minutes from the airport.

Maggie Griffin, Club Director of VCNebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska agrees that the JVA Kansas City Classic will be a great opportunity for her teams to play the best competition in the Midwest.

“We are thrilled that the JVA is bringing a national tournament back to Kansas City. The competition in this area of the country is intense, and the easy access to KC makes it a perfect location to bring the top clubs from the Midwest together. We look forward to getting the best competition possible as we prepare for Nationals, while providing a low cost, high quality experience for our families.”

The JVA Kansas City Classic is hosted and run by the JVA, and is open to girls junior volleyball teams competing in 12U-18U open and club divisions. Like all JVA hosted events, other than the JVA World Challenge, the event is JVA insured, therefore it is open to teams of any affiliation: AAU, USAV and JVA teams are all welcome and will be insured.

Another benefit to JVA events is the fact that JVA Member Clubs receive a $45 discount on each team entry fee. Clubs are encouraged to register early (October 1st) and send in entry fee payment to guarantee your spot.
