JVA Welcomes Back Steve Bailey as Managing Director of Events & Development

We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team! Steve Bailey has once again joined JVA; this time as the Managing Director of Events & Development.

Steve brings a wealth of experience, a strong competitive spirit, and a deep passion for youth sports that aligns perfectly with our mission to promote the growth of junior volleyball through program and resource support for clubs. In this pivotal role, Steve will oversee all events hosted by JVA, as well as support strategic initiatives that drive innovation, enhance membership value, and foster growth across the JVA community.

“Steve has an exceptional track record of supporting strong teams, creating meaningful partnerships, and delivering world-class events,” says JVA Executive Director Lisa Wielebnicki. “We’re excited for the leadership and perspective he brings to our team as we continue expanding opportunities for junior athletes and clubs across the country.”

With more than two decades of leadership in sports management and event operations, Steve has worked with both regional and national organizations to scale competitive youth events while prioritizing athlete experience and organizational sustainability. His background includes directing large-scale volleyball tournaments, and championing coach and athlete development at the grassroots level.

Steve is no stranger to the volleyball community. A former club director and event owner himself, he understands the challenges and opportunities facing club operators today. His vision for the JVA Event Department includes strengthening existing tournament offerings, identifying new regional and national partnerships, and enhancing operational excellence across the board.

“I’m proud to once again be part of the JVA staff. JVA not only hosts quality and competitive events, but truly puts clubs and athletes first,” Steve shares. “I’m honored to re-join a team that’s making such a positive impact on the sport, and I look forward to working alongside our staff, partners, and club directors to elevate everything we do.”

As JVA continues to grow its national footprint, the addition of Steve Bailey marks an important milestone in reinforcing the organization’s commitment to high-quality, club-driven competition and service. From event planning and club development to future innovation in the sport, Steve’s leadership will play a critical role in shaping the next chapter of our story.

Please join us in welcoming Steve Bailey (again) to the JVA family!
