JVA Staff
The Junior Volleyball Association is comprised of a JVA Staff, Support Staff, and Board of Directors. Although the JVA Staff is limited in number, the dedication and drive shown within our organization ensures that we are putting forward the best product in the junior volleyball community. Our staff works tirelessly to help Club Directors and Club Coaches advance the game we all love, while also educating athletes and their families!

Lisa joined the JVA Staff in December 2013. She has a solid volleyball background at all levels. After completing her volleyball career at Purdue University, she served as the Student Assistant Coach followed by three seasons as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Samford University where her responsibilities included recruiting, aiding in day to day team training, managing community service functions, and coordination of camps. In 2011 she helped guide the program to its first NCAA appearance.
Briana has been with the JVA since August 2011. Bri enjoys interacting with passionate junior volleyball club directors and coaches on a daily basis, as well as building relationships with partners who share the same vision and goals as the JVA, and are all about giving back to the juniors. Bri has 15 years of coaching experience at the grade school level all the way through the college level. She was a four year starting setter at Ohio University from 2001 to 2004, where she garnered All-American and Conference Player of the Year honors.
Mandy joined the JVA Staff in October 2021. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from UW-Stout and her Masters Degree in International Administration from the University of Denver. She has a diverse background in nonprofit, private sector and government work. Mandy’s passion for volleyball began at a young age and is currently an assistant coach for a boys U14 team.
Steve re-joined the team in 2025 after having previously worked for JVA for four years. Steve has over twenty years of experience in event and sports management, as well as experience coaching junior and collegiate volleyball. He has a Business Management Degree from the University of Phoenix.
Katie joined the JVA staff in September 2023. She has been playing volleyball for more than 20 years, as well as 13 years of experience coaching both girls’ and boys’ volleyball. Prior to joining JVA, she led a full-service marketing and design consultancy, providing branding, content creation, and digital strategy for a wide range of clients, following six years in an international corporate marketing role.
Connor joined the JVA team in 2021. He graduated from DePaul University in 2015 where he played for the men’s club volleyball program, and was an undergraduate manager of the women’s varsity program from 2013-2015. Connor started his event operations career professionally in 2015. Connor started his club coaching career in 2019.
Emily joined the JVA staff in March of 2022. She spent three years as the Director of Volleyball Operations at the University of Alabama, and prior to that she was the Assistant Volleyball Coach at East Tennessee State for two seasons. Emily played collegiate volleyball at Illinois State University and has four years of coaching experience at the junior club level. She earned a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from East Tennessee State University.
Taylor joined the JVA Staff in February 2025. She started playing volleyball at the age of six at Sky High Volleyball Club in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Taylor went on to play four years of collegiate volleyball at Seton Hall University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. For her final year of eligibility, she transferred to Villanova University, competing at the Division I level while earning her Master’s in Business Administration. With experience competing at a high level and coaching at various volleyball camps, Taylor is committed to fostering growth and success in the next generation of volleyball players.
Mo joined the JVA staff in July of 2019. She brings an accomplished volleyball career as a former Division I athlete at Central Michigan University and then D1 coach for 18 years including assistant coach at Lamar University, Xavier University, and the University of Michigan before becoming a head coach at George Washington University.
JVA Board of Directors
The JVA Staff work with the Board of Directors to create the vision that is Junior Volleyball Association. Our Board of Directors are elected individuals that represent more than their own volleyball communities. They come together to help advance the sport we all love! Each member brings a unique perspective and skillset to our Board.
