The JVA is pleased to announce a partnership with the National Volleyball Association to bring live professional men’s volleyball to three JVA hosted events this season.

The National Volleyball Association will have 6 scheduled matches of professional men’s teams competing during the JVA World Challenge, JVA West Coast Cup and JVA SummerFest presented by Mizuno USA. NVA team rosters boast some of the highest level of talent with experience ranging from recent NCAA men’s college graduates to former Olympians (both domestically and internationally) including four time Olympian and Gold Medalist, Lloy Ball.

The NVA and JVA share similar views in growing the sport of volleyball and we are pleased to have them working with us” says JVA Director of Events Steve Bailey. “It is a great way to showcase professional talent and demonstrate to the athletes that there is a path in volleyball after club and college.

The athletes competing look forward to engaging with the fans and teams that will be assisting in staffing their matches. They will be available for autographs, photo opportunities, and to answer any questions for aspiring youth.

The NVA is incredibly excited about bringing our six franchise teams to three high quality JVA events in our 2019 season” shares NVA Chief Operating Officer Coley Pawlikowski. “We are striving toward building a new legacy for professional volleyball here in the US, and by engaging the junior audience, we hope to inspire them through our platform while impacting the future of our sport.

The athletes and team managers involved are driven to be a part of creating opportunities for young athletes. They are passionately motivated and pride themselves in being role models for youth in a way that they themselves did not have as younger athletes in the sport. The synergy between the NVA and JVA is exciting for us to be a part of!” adds Coley.

Participating teams are encouraged to stop by the NVA court, support the teams, and meet the athletes to learn about their volleyball experience.

We are grateful to the JVA for including us in their events as it is an incredible platform to continue to grow the game” adds Lloy Ball, four time Olympian and Gold Medalist, current Setter for Team Pineapple and Owner/Director/Coach of JVA member Team Pineapple VBC. “As an athlete, former Olympian, and now Club Owner/Director and Coach, I think it is critically important to expose junior volleyball athletes to the highest level of our sport. To master your craft and strive for greatness, there is no better way than studying the game. By incorporating the NVA and bringing our league play to JVA events, we will be providing a unique opportunity for juniors to do just that.”
