Milwaukee, Wisconsin (September 20, 2021) – The JVA and The Art of Coaching Volleyball are pleased to announce an extension of their partnership to continue offering wide-ranging resources for clubs, coaches, directors, players and volleyball families.

“Art of Coaching and JVA have a long history of providing high-quality volleyball opportunities, from tournaments to clinics to valuable learning resources,” says Art of Coaching CEO Terry Liskevych, who founded AOCVB with Penn State coach Russ Rose and former Stanford coach John Dunning. “We’re excited about working closely with JVA to enhance our existing programs and continue expanding the availability of meaningful online videos, articles, newsletters and learning tools.”

JVA, which now provides Club Director level members with free annual AOC Premium memberships, will collaborate with AOCVB on several new projects, including:

  • Friday Night Club Management Track sessions at Art of Coaching clinics to educate club owners/directors on the business side of the game. Presented by JVA, topics will include leasing, HR, accounting, sales, marketing, social media, hiring and firing.
  • Talent ID Camps. Launched by AOCVB in 2020, these player showcases will now be offered the day before play begins at all national JVA tournaments. With a limited number of participants, Talent ID Camps allow players to demonstrate their skills through numerous touches and provide college coaches up-close exposure to athletes who might fit their team’s needs. Players are given easy access to camp footage to create personalized recruiting videos. More than 220 college programs have already signed up for video access to these camps.

“We are really excited to be able to bring live Club Management education to the Art of Coaching clinics,” JVA Executive Director Jenny Hahn says. “As the only independent association of junior volleyball club directors, providing education and resources in the area of club management is our bread and butter. Along those lines, we are equally pleased to feature a Talent ID Camp at all JVA hosted events because of the value to junior volleyball athletes, as well as college coaches. It’s truly a win-win.”

JVA and The Art of Coaching will begin their pre-tournament Talent ID Camps at JVA’s Showdown in Motown, a boys’ event December 11-12 in Detroit. For a full calendar of Talent ID Camps go here. View all JVA hosted tournaments, here.

Friday Night Club Management Track sessions will be presented by JVA at four Art of Coaching clinics in 2022: Nashville, Tennessee (April 1), Lawrence, Kansas (April 29), Las Vegas (May 20) and Dallas (June 10).
