Over Thanksgiving of this year, A5 was fortunate to travel to Japan with a select group of 16 athletes from three different age groups. The trip to Japan marked the club's 9th international outing, and from a volleyball perspective, was in many ways the most impactful trip to date. In the club volleyball world it's common to have trends from year to year, and more specifically, from age group to age group. One overarching trend that has very little to do with age, however, is a lack of dynamic and athletic middle blockers. The JVA is proud to announce the nine beach clubs named 2019 JVA Sponsor Clubs. In it's fourth consecutive year of the JVA Sponsor Program, the nine beach clubs join the 64 indoor clubs to set yet another record year. As a member driven and member centered organization, JVA will be giving the nine beach clubs a portion of the $200,000 being awarded to JVA Sponsor Clubs this season.
