(MILWAUKEE, WI) – The Junior Volleyball Association (JVA), a leading association in the growth of youth volleyball in America, is pleased to be making a donation of $10,000 to USA Volleyball Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
As an association committed to the advancement and development of junior volleyball, we are proud to share our success with the National Programs that so many junior volleyball athletes emulate and strive to be part of during their athletic careers. The JVA Executive Committee unanimously approved the donation to support the USA Men’s and Women’s National Teams, which include numerous athletes who grew up competing for JVA member clubs.
“As we are days away from the 2024 Olympics, we are all anticipating watching our Women’s and Men’s National Teams, who represent the best of the best in our sport, compete against the best in the world. The JVA is incredibly thankful for the continued growth of our membership and events, allowing our organization to be in a fiscal position to contribute to the success of the National Teams,” said Jenny Hahn, JVA Executive Director.
The donation to USA Volleyball is one of many avenues where the JVA has given back to the volleyball community. Last year, the JVA granted $150,000 to First Point Volleyball for various grow-the-game initiatives centered around boys’ volleyball. Previously, JVA had supported First Point Volleyball with a multi-year $125,000 grant – bringing JVA’s total undesignated support to First Point to $275,000.
In addition, this year marks the 8th year of the JVA Sponsor Program, which gives $200,000 back to JVA member clubs for their support of JVA education, events and initiatives. Another program that the JVA proudly supports is the JVA Grant Program that provides financial assistance to club programs in their efforts to provide new programs and services in their community that promote the growth and accessibility of youth and junior volleyball.
“As the national governing body for our sport, USA Volleyball appreciates the kind donation from the JVA to support our National Teams,” said Jamie Davis, President and CEO of USA Volleyball. “It is great to see the volleyball community come together to rally around and support our Olympians and Paralympians in their pursuit of gold!”
The JVA will be cheering on Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and we encourage the junior volleyball community to the competition over the next few weeks. View the schedule and rosters HERE.
