(Milwaukee, WI) The JVA is pleased to announce the addition of John Brannon, Max Miller, and Will Robbins to the JVA Board of Directors. The three JVA Club Directors will begin their three year term on the Board in January.

John Brannon is the owner and director of Carolina Union Volleyball Club in Charlotte, North Carolina since 2012. The club had 11 teams during the 2012 season, and has grown to 49 this season, including 6 boys teams. On January 1st of 2013, the club opened their first training facility with 3 ½ courts. After just 3 years, the club moved into a new facility that allowed them to have 6 courts where they could continue to build on a culture of training and development.  Brannon currently serves as the AAU Volleyball Director in North Carolina, and has overseen extensive growth in AAU volleyball within within the state. His club hosts seven tournaments through the year with AAU, JVA, and USAV.  In addition, Brannon is always looking for opportunities to contribute to JVA education and resources. John and his wife Shelby have four children: James, Rory, Joshua, and Silas.

“I plan to bring determination, and the ability to problem solve and think outside the box in my role on the Board,” expressed Brannon.

Max Miller is the Club Director of Mintonette Sports in Columbus, Ohio, and has been a JVA member for 14 years. His teams have won several National Championships, both AAU and USAV. The club is also very involved in community service to support inner city volleyball programs. Like Brannon, Max is a frequent contributor to JVA business and training education, through videos, articles and presentations the AVCA convention and Club Management Track.

In my role on the Board I plan to expand the JVA in Ohio and the country, and continue to offer coaching education, and assistance for club directors,” said Miller.

Will Robbins is the CEO and Founder of Empowered Volleyball Academy in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and has been a JVA member for 10 years. Robbins played at IPFW, and continued his indoor professional career in Bahrain, and continued into professional beach volleyball. He is the current USAV Beach Representative and current USAV Board Member for the Hoosier Region. Robbins was a Head Coach for the USA Beach National Team Development Program, most recently coaching the U21 National Team for the World Championships in Thailand in December 2021. He has started multiple indoor and beach volleyball clubs, and collaborated on multiple indoor and beach facilities and educational platforms.

“I’m looking forward to contributing to the JVA Board in the areas of club management, both indoor and beach, as well as facility growth and stability, business strategies and development, and player development,” expressed Robbins.
