The JVA is excited to facilitate a long list of indoor and beach volleyball educational sessions at the 2024 AVCA Convention and NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championships in Louisville, Kentucky December 18-22, 2024. The classroom and court sessions, sponsored by the JVA, feature a number of seasoned Club Directors, Coaches and Youth Sports Leaders covering a wide array of topics that will make this year’s Convention one you must attend! New this year: During Convention Marketplace hours, the JVA staff will be available for meetings at the JVA booth #241. More information on this soon.

Dr. Larry Widman has over 25 years of experience as a psychiatrist and nearly 20 years as a high-performance mindset coach. He works with CEOs, corporations, professional athletes, military leaders, Olympians, and multiple NCAA and high school teams. Dr. Widman has been integral in achieving nine college and professional national championships and numerous high school championships. He has also helped dozens of teams max out when it matters most.

This year, JVA is sponsoring the participation of (2) JVA Members in the Diversity Award Program at AVCA Convention: Vallery Mitchell, Founder and CEO of Fostering Dreams VBC and UMC Preparatory Academy, and Nikki Golston, Co-Owner and Associate Club Director of 3’s Up Volleyball Academy. The AVCA Diversity Award Program is a pivotal initiative of the AVCA Diversity Development Team aimed at: Advancing the sport of volleyball, Engaging coaches as leaders, and Promoting initiatives that foster meaningful change in society and the volleyball community.
