The JVA is thankful to be a long-time partner of The Side-Out Foundation and its Dig Pink® Program. Each year, the JVA raises funds for Side-Out that go toward research specifically for patients with metastatic breast cancer, the most advanced form of the disease, and the least funded area of research. This year, through our efforts at the JVA World Challenge April 8-10th we were able to raise a record breaking $14,675 donated directly to the Side-Out Foundation’s Dig Pink Campaign to help save lives.

Every $2,000 raised through Dig Pink allows Side-Out to provide an unprecedented analysis to metastatic breast cancer patients and their oncologists. This unique analysis ranks treatment solutions and clinical trials for each patient that can substantially improve the length and quality of their life.

“We are so thankful for the generous donations made by the parents, athletes, coaches, officials and spectators who contributed online or in person during the JVA World Challenge,” states JVA Executive Director, Jenny Hahn. “You have helped us make such an important impact! We are also grateful to our partner, TeamIP, the Official Event Merchandiser of the JVA, for dedicating a portion of sales from pink merchandise to JVA’s Dig Pink Campaign, which totaled $1,000. This was a true team effort.”

The JVA has been a proud supporter of The Side-OutFoundation for the past decade, raising awareness and funding for the organization’s mission to advocate for metastatic breast cancer patients in the hopes of saving lives.

Side-Out applauds and recognizes JVA as a leader in our mission to empower a new generation of advocates to make significant and identifiable impact on the way metastatic breast cancer is treated,” celebrates Rick Dunetz, Founder & Executive Director of Side-Out. “The Dig Pink fundraising led by JVA makes a personal and direct difference to the lives of those living with metastatic breast cancer, giving them customized treatment options and creating more tomorrows.”
