(Milwaukee, Wisconsin)  The JVA proudly announces the 2023 JVA Boys Watch List powered by Fivestar featuring nearly 600 boys indoor junior volleyball athletes from JVA member clubs nationwide. The players nominated are among the best in the nation in their age division this season.

“As new boys events and power leagues have emerged across the country, we’ve seen the caliber of boys volleyball competition improve as a direct result. The National Boys Volleyball Association was created, JVA is co-hosting events with AAU, and Boys Directors from coast to coast are working together to improve the opportunities for boys competition. We are very proud to recognize the outstanding achievement of the athletes on the JVA Boys Watch List powered by Fivestar, as well as the commitment of their Directors and Coaches,” said JVA Executive Director Jenny Hahn.

The 2023 JVA Boys Watch List honorees will be eligible for selection to the 2023 JVA Boys All-National Team powered by Fivestar in June. All junior volleyball athletes will have the opportunity to display their skills to be selected as National Player of the Year, by uploading their highlights onto the Fivestar App, a social media platform dedicated to creating and rating sports highlights.

“Fivestar is proud to sponsor the JVA Boys Watchlist, and we are amazed at the outstanding talent and dedication of all the honorees.  We can’t wait to continue watching these great athletes throughout their careers, as well as their highlights on the Fivestar App”, said Brett Tillett, Senior Vice President for Fivestar.

Fivestar launched in June 2022 with the mission to create a single aggregate location for all athletes–across  all sports, at all levels of play–to curate their performance highlights and receive feedback and exposure from sports fans, peers and coaches worldwide. Focused on creating a positive-only environment, Fivestar does not allow comments and focuses rather on a 1-5 rating system, leveling the playing field for athletes everywhere. 2023 JVA Watch List athletes are encouraged to download Fivestar in the Apple or Google Play stores and continue uploading their highlights to their Fivestar profiles, which will be utilized for consideration in forming the 2023 JVA All-National Team.
