Tstreet’s origin and name come from a popular, family-friendly beach in Southern California where the club’s owner and founder, two-time Olympic gold medalist Troy Tanner, calls home.  In its first year of existence in 2005, Tstreet fielded one 12s team. It included Tanner’s daughter, Bailey, who became an AVCA All-American and won multiple Pac-12 Championships for the University of Washington.

In year two, Tstreet fielded two 13s teams, and one 12s team. Year three included three 14s teams, two 13s teams and one 12s team. Tstreet’s grassroots growth continued, as did its reputation for excellent training and proper treatment of its players. Tstreet is now the #1 ranked club in California 3 of the last 4 years.

Culture is king at Tstreet. The staff love the game and thoroughly enjoy teaching, performing and expanding it…. together. Tstreet has a core staff of coaching supervisors who meet every week to discuss each team in detail, from the youngest most beginner players to the advanced Division 1 bound teams – the staff care deeply about the culture of every team, athlete and coach.

Every month Tstreet honors a player and a coach who have demonstrated the club’s core values and have created positive change within their team and community. These individuals are recognized in front of the club and receive a “swag bag” of items generously donated by the club’s sponsors.

Tstreet has a growth mindset attitude with all its players and programs. With a solid club foundation, the club has moved forward to implement programs to address the needs of its membership and the community. This includes giving back to the local community. During Easter, Tstreet club and Tweens teams put together Easter baskets for children in foster homes through Olive Crest, an organization dedicated to preventing child abuse, and to treating and educating at-risk children. Tstreet teams also give back to those in need at Christmas with gifts for underprivileged children and stockings for the homeless.

In addition to a dedicated coaching staff, Tstreet has a full time administrative staff behind the scenes that keeps the club running smoothly, from finance to travel to recruiting. Because of this solid foundation, the club is able to host fun events like its club wide bonding events each year, including the popular Annual Daddy/Daughter Tournament, Coach Joey’s Famous Fish Taco Bar, and a Pajama Party Movie Night.

Programs
For the current season, Tstreet will field 26 club teams. In addition to “club volleyball” athletes, Tstreet runs a vibrant “Tweens” program and conducts regular youth clinics as well as an extremely popular summer program with kids from across the country attending. Over 400 girls train at Tstreet VBC on a weekly basis.

Tstreet, home to the 2015 and 2017 USAV Junior National Champions, will also host its 4th annual Collegiate Coaching Camp “CCC” in 2019. The CCC sells out in a hurry and brings in close to 100 athletes to train and work with 12 to 15 college coaches over a two-day period.

The club also welcomes back My Recruiting Solutions’ (MRS) recruiting showcase for the 4th year. Here, 40 to 50 college coaches observe and take recruiting notes as athletes practice and compete in drills designed and run by MRS. Tstreet will be hosting its 3rd Annual Troy Tanner Camp this summer. This is a week long intensive camp run by Troy and his core coaching staff that includes video feedback, Olympic and US National team guest speakers, and 6 on 6 games. Visible improvement is seen over the course of the camp.

New in 2019
New to Tstreet in 2019 is a highly anticipated Elite Beach Volleyball Club program. Troy has extensive experience as he played professionally on the AVP and FIVB tours for over a decade, coached Kerri Walsh/Jennings and Misty May/Treanor to a gold medal in the Beijing Olympics, and spearheaded a beach volleyball program for the Turkish National Team. Tanner and his staff plan to build a sand program equal to its indoor program in terms of quality of training, podium appearances, scholarships and enjoyment.

Continually thinking outsidet of the box and wanting to improve its impact on the lives of its players and families, Tstreet is implementing a “Mindset to Skillset” program in 2019. Here, industry professionals work with Tstreet athletes in monthly meetings and exercises designed to shed internal clutter that often blocks athletes’ performance, sleep and overall health.

Tstreet volleyball club is dedicated to developing athletes, beginner to elite, to their fullest potential in an enjoyable, serious teaching environment. It is apparent by the club’s success that the leaders take the mission statement to heart to achieve the end goal: for young athletes to leave their gym with not only knowledge and skills of the game, but life skills as well.

Tstreet is a member of the Junior Volleyball Association, an organization committed to enhancing the junior volleyball experience for club directors, coaches, players, and fans.
