(Milwaukee, WI) The JVA is pleased to announce that Maggie Griffin has been re-elected to the JVA Board of Directors for a third term. Maggie is the Owner and Director of VCNebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Maggie has an extensive volleyball background as a Director and player. She founded VCNebraska in 2011 while coaching for her alma mater at the University of Nebraska. Since her club’s formation, the program has grown from 4 teams in 2011 to over 50 teams in 2021, including regional and competitive options, a youth program, and an extensive camp program that spans the state of Nebraska.

I continue to be humbled by the number and quality of people that are willing to give their time and talent to help further the mission of JVA,” shares JVA Executive Director Jenny Hahn. “This year’s slate of candidates was as strong as ever. We are happy to welcome Maggie back to our board. Her experience and history with JVA are invaluable.”

Maggie’s love for working with youth paired with the enjoyment of being an entrepreneur makes it her dream job.  In 2017 Maggie was awarded the AVCA 30 under 30 Award. In 2019 VCNebraska opened a brand new, state of the art 12 court multi sport facility. Maggie has served on the JVA board for the last 6 years and has contributed to the JVA Mentor Program, the JVA Club Management Guide, and served on the Finance Committee and as acting Treasurer. She believes in growing the game at all ages and levels, and her club continues to provide these opportunities at VCN with help from the JVA.

I’m excited and grateful to continue to work on the Board of Directors for the JVA,” states Maggie. “The JVA always puts the athletes first and works to grow the game in a positive way. I look forward to continued collaboration with other like-minded directors, coaches, parents and players who are passionate about upholding the values and mission of the JVA.”
